Chain-o-Lakes Wood Carvers

Chain-o-lakes Wood Carvers are returning!

Our group will be starting its 15th year. Any interested person is warmly welcome. No experience? - we can get you started. We can loan you a knife, hand you a piece of wood and give you some instructions, guidance, and encouragement. Though there are various degrees of competency in the group, there are no professionals; everyone is still learning through sharing and practice. The loose-knit group carves wood and supports one another. There are no dues, no officers, no age limits, not only Methodists, includes both males and females, and beginners to the long experienced.

We meet on Thursday from Labor Day to Memorial Day; weekly (with some exceptions) 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm in Stradley Hall room #1. We always clean up before leaving. And remember, "No blood on the wood!" (And yes, we always have Band-Aids on hand, but they are rarely needed. We teach safety first.)

For further details, call Bob Hornback at 863-651-1253 or just show up beginning September 8th.
