Sacks, bags, and boxes were loaded into cars as Beymer completed another successful food drive for Family Emergency Services, which works in conjunction with the Salvation Army to provide food for families in our community.
Family Emergency Services' food pantry is only open on Wednesdays, and they serve around 100 families a month.
They also have programs that provide financial assistance for people and families who are unable to pay their utility bills or programs that offer special services which support people's ability to make their payments. Financial help with utility bills depends upon their funds and the request. It varies from month to month the support they can offer for utilities, but assist probably ten families each month.
Family Emergency Services of Winter Haven is a community-supported outreach that knows firsthand their assistance is important to everyone they can help.
