Passage: John 17:20-21
“I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word that they may all be one; even as You, Father are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that you sent me.”
I cannot imagine my life without prayer. Prayer is our lifeline in communicating with God and obtaining His answers for His direction in our lives. Jesus in this passage is asking God on behalf of all of us to be with the Father and Jesus. It is our daily communication with God. How else do we get to express our love for Almighty God better than prayer? We get to thank God and praise Him for all he has done for us, answering prayers, and comforting us with His presence.
Through prayer we get to seek God’s will for each and every situation we face minute by minute. This is a tough one as this means we get to surrender to God’s will and direction in our lives. It’s our means of asking forgiveness and recommitting to God, being led by the Holy Spirit.
Prayer time does not require any special place although Jesus sought out quiet places to pray. Prayer gets to be spontaneous and heartfelt. Let us seek more prayer time with our Heavenly Father so that we get to His work and bring more meaning in our relationship with God.
Prayer: Thank you dear God Almighty for your mercy and love. I pray that we all increase our prayer time to strengthen our relationship with you. Amen
