About Us

Who We Are
Who We Are
Beymer exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.  While we focus within in order to help people grow in their faith, our primary focus is outward.  A focus on those who need the love of another kind that God in Christ makes possible.

To live out our mission, we’ve built what we do around some key words that guide us: reach, connect, grow, and do.

  • We’re striving to meet the community around us right where they are.

  • We’re striving to connect people to each other and to God in ways that lead to life at its best.

  • We’re striving to offer an environment where growth – spiritual, relational, emotional – can happen.

  • Ultimately, we’re striving to be a church that sends people out to serve others – authentically, sacrificially, and in ways that align with who God made them to be.

Want a deeper faith, stronger relationships, a life that matters as it impacts the live of others in significant ways? Our hope is that you’ll find those things right here.

Our History
Our History

Beymer Church was founded in 1906 in a church facility a few blocks from where we currently are.  We moved to our currently location – on beautiful Lake Howard – in 1951 and then added to our campus in 1968 an area for Children and Youth and their families.

Building upon the faith and work of the many generations before us, we strive to continue to be the church God has called us to be.  While times have changed, our commitment to Jesus Christ and his mission has not.

I'm New Here

At Beymer, you'll find people who genuinely care about their walk with Christ, but just as importantly, they care about you. Below you will find some info on the best place to start, what to expect, and what we offer beyond Sunday Mornings.

Where to Start

A great place to start your journey here at Beymer is through taking part in one of our Sunday morning worship services, choosing the one that fits you best. Or perhaps you’ll want to start with a small group gathering or getting involved in one of our ministries. Wherever you start, you’ll be welcomed in with open arms.

What to Expect

When you arrive at our campus coming for worship, park in our main parking lot and then expect a smiling face to greet you as you approach our facility. They’ll guide you into our sanctuary where our services take place. If you have children, a member of our children’s ministry staff will be ready to guide you to our nursery and children’s church. Perhaps most importantly, come as you are. You’ll find people dressed in suits and shorts and everything in between.

Beyond Sundays

While worship is at the center of our walk with God, moving beyond Sundays is an important part of our walk with Christ. In addition to meaningful services, our goal is to help you find life beyond that as well, finding a small community group in which you can walk with others or finding a ministry in which you can serve with others. Come for worship, but then find a more meaningful life during the week.

Why We Worship

One of the most important things we do is worship God – publicly and privately. All that we have in this life comes to us by God’s grace; worshipping God is our way of saying thank you, our way of responding to what God has done and continues to do for us everyday.

On Sunday mornings we come to worship in an especially sacred way – together! We were made to worship in this way and we embrace it fully. We worship by offering our prayers, our offerings, our songs, our lives. At Beymer, our ministry – and our walk with Christ – begins in worship and flows outward from it.  That’s why worship is central to who we are.

Service Styles

At Beymer Church, we offer three unique worship services in the hopes of meeting a variety of preferences. All services are offered in person, with the 9:30 am and 11 am services also livestreamed. While worship is central to who we are, it doesn’t have to look and sound the same for all people. Find the service that will best enable you to encounter the presence of God.

Lakeside Service - 8:00 AM
Lakeside Service - 8:00 AM

What better place than by a lake to worship on a Sunday morning! If you’re an early riser and want a service with a more casual feel, then try our 8 am outdoor service. Piano music and accompaniment is featured, along with a message, Scripture reading, prayer, and communion once a month.

Contemporary Worship - 9:30 AM
Contemporary Worship - 9:30 AM

While our 9:30 am service features a more casual feel indoors, it offers so much more than that. Our Worship Team leads us in modern worship music, all with a focus on drawing us into God’s presence. Prayers, Scripture readings, and a message are folded into our singing praises to God, with communion offered the first Sunday of every month.  During this service, we have nursery available, as well as our Children’s Church for Kindergarten to 5th grade.  For more details, see Children’s Section.

Traditional Worship - 11:00 AM
Traditional Worship - 11:00 AM

If you’re looking for the singing of hymns, the gift of Organ music, a Vocal Choir, and a Bell Choir, the reciting of Creeds and responsive readings —all that you want with traditional worship – then this service is possibly the one for you. In addition to those elements, each week a message will be given and once a month we’ll celebrate communion together.
